Virtual Practice Based Coach Training

STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT TRAINING DATES

Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) is an evidence-based system designed to change teacher practices, improving children's outcomes. Currently, Vermont has a limited number of Practice-Based coaches, and external Practice-Based Coaches are costly. Programs with trained coaches succeed in two ways; there is a direct impact on learning outcomes by improving teaching practices, and with in-house coaches, coaching costs are significantly reduced, thus making coaching more sustainable. Pyramid 802 Plus(P802P) is dedicated to increasing the number of trained and qualified coaches by offering this training.

I learned SO much in this training. I am a very reflective person, but I learned so much about how to help other people be more reflective about their teaching practices. I learned about the cycles of coaching, how to provide supportive and constructive feedback, how to write an action plan and specific goals. This training was well worth my time.

Importance of Collaborative Partnerships

Implementation of all PBC Components

I liked the format of instruction and break out groups. I liked the relatively informal comfortable presentation style. I liked how zoom tools were introduced and used in a functional vs. just instructional manner. I liked signing on 15 minutes earlier getting mic checks etc out of the way.
